A life-sized bronze statue of Chuck Bednarik is being planned for Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The statue would be the centerpiece of a museum-quality display honoring both Penn Quaker football and the Philadelphia Eagles during the years they played their home games at Franklin Field

Chuck Bednarik Fund

In 2010, a group of Philadelphia businessmen approached the University of Pennsylvania with the aim of installing a statue of Penn’s greatest all-time player and their hero, Chuck Bednarik, at Franklin Field.

The commission to create this timeless work of art will cost the University of Pennsylvania $100,000 from conception and design to construction and installation. As of February 2011, $50,000 has been raised toward this goal.
